  Fuliang Chen,Professor,Plant Protection Institute of CAAS(Speaker)

  Dr. Fuliang Chen, Committee member of Pesticide Committee to China Society of Plant Protection. He has been engaging in pesticide formulation research in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences since 1995. Mr. Chen mainly focuses on research of pesticide formulation, pesticide bioassay and inert ingredient. He participated in many research projects and won many awards. Being responsible for the new varieties development of pesticide formulations, he has developed tens of pesticide mixtures and single microemulsion formulations, seven of which are even the first microemulsion varieties in China. Mr. Chen also researched deeply in the stabilization of pesticide microemulsion. He is the expert of pesticide formulation. He cooperated with tens of enterprises in China, and more than 10 pesticide formulations were industrialized in those enterprises. What’s more, he set the criterions for more than 10 pesticides and helped them achieve pesticide registrations.

  As New Business Development Leader for Ag Chem Platform, Gregory is currently responsible for beyond 10-year vision and global crop protection goals, in addition to work with Discovery teams and leadership to bring new technologies forward into the DAS pipeline. He led the development of Quintec？ fungicide in the Americas in the 90’s, defined market opportunity that led to spinetoram (Delegate？ and Radiant？) insecticide launched in 2008 and defined critical success factors for new sap feeding insecticides, which led to sulfoxaflor insecticide (launching in 2012). Mr. Hanger brought greater focus to DAS Ag Chem Discovery Research Goals by clearly defining critical driving forces and their impact on long-term market opportunities.   Dr. Norman Kim Hung Lai has served Sinochem Fertilizer, BASF, CK Lifesciences, Sicpa Printing Inks, Zeneca and ICI, etc. companies over the region for more than 20 years in the industries of agrochemicals, fertilizers, and chemicals. \u000d\u000a\u000d\u000aNorman was born in New Territories, Hong Kong. After the high school education, he went to Taiwan for university study, and was conferred a bachelor degree in agricultural engineering by the National Taiwan University. Then he returned to Hong Kong, and worked in several organizations including Agricultural and Fisheries Department as Field Officer responsible for pesticide regulatory enforcement; The Royal Hong Kong Golf Club as Golf Course Superintendent before joining ICI in 1989 to start his crop protection life. He holds a doctorate in business administration from the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
