I. Overall Export Pattern: Core Products Leading the Way, Zero Exports for Some Categories

In November 2025, China's export market for phosphate chemicals showed a differentiated development trend. Core product categories delivered outstanding performance in both export volume and value, with some categories witnessing a sharp surge in exports. Meanwhile, export destinations presented distinct regional concentration characteristics, and phosphate ore and yellow phosphorus maintained a zero-export status. The data in this report is sourced from CCM and China Customs, which clearly reflects the overall pattern of China's international trade in phosphate chemicals in that month.

II. Core Product Data: DAP and MAP as Dual Pillars in Volume and Value, Steady Circulation for All Categories

In terms of export data of core phosphate chemicals, a variety of China's phosphate chemicals maintained a stable export scale in November 2025. Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP) (including mixtures of MAP and DAP) emerged as the dual pillars in both export volume and value. Among them, DAP recorded an export volume of 450,580,000 kg and an export value of 337,099,791 US dollars, ranking first in both indicators across all product categories. MAP and its mixtures achieved an export volume of 283,064,781 kg and an export value of 205,785,698 US dollars, taking the second place. Superphosphate posted a steady performance among basic phosphate chemicals with an export volume of 39,613,970 kg and an export value of 21,267,574 US dollars.

For other categories, phosphorus pentoxide had an export volume of 849,189 kg and an export value of 1,714,216 US dollars; phosphorus oxychloride registered an export volume of 1,381,631 kg and an export value of 1,624,970 US dollars; other sodium tripolyphosphate saw an export volume of 12,386,797 kg and an export value of 9,682,651 US dollars. All these categories maintained stable export circulation, meeting the demand of overseas niche markets. Notably, China had no export records of phosphate ore and yellow phosphorus in the month, a distinctive feature of the phosphate chemical export market.

III. Highlight Product Performance: Food-grade Phosphoric Acid Exports Surge Driven by Multiple Favorable Factors

Food-grade phosphoric acid stood out as the star product with a sharp export surge in the month, reaching an export volume of 48,304,679 kg and an export value of 46,845,323 US dollars. The robust growth was fueled by the superposition of multiple favorable factors: strong demand support from overseas markets, attractive product profit margins, improved customs clearance efficiency, supportive domestic supply-side policies, as well as the low base effect and seasonal restocking demand from overseas markets, all of which jointly drove the substantial growth of food-grade phosphoric acid exports.

IV. Characteristics of Export Destinations: High Regional Concentration, Divergent Flow for Different Categories

Regional characteristics of export destinations became a prominent feature of China's phosphate chemical exports in November 2025. The export markets of all core product categories showed obvious concentration, with Southeast Asia, South Asia, South America, Oceania and other regions emerging as the main flow directions.

1. TSP & POCl3: Highly Focused on the Southeast Asian Market

Exports of Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) were highly concentrated in Southeast Asia, with Indonesia accounting for 74.86% and becoming the largest export destination. Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Japan accounted for 12.24%, 7.57% and 5.07% respectively, while Malaysia only made up 0.25%, indicating the absolute leading position of the Southeast Asian market. Exports of Phosphorus Oxychloride (POCl3) were also focused on Southeast Asia: Thailand accounted for 72.38% and Taiwan, China for 25.84%, with the two together accounting for nearly 98% of the total exports. South Korea, Vietnam and other regions accounted for less than 2%, reflecting an extremely high market concentration.

2. MAP: Diversified Demand Distribution, Centered on Oceania and South America

The export market of Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP) was more diversified, with Oceania and South America as the core regions. Australia accounted for 20.95%, Brazil 16.51%, Mexico 9.65%, Colombia 7.14% and Chile 6.02%, while other regions in total made up 39.72%, which reflected the extensive distribution of its overseas demand.

3. DAP: Anchored in the South Asian Market, Bangladesh as the Top Destination

Exports of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) were anchored in the South Asian market, with Bangladesh accounting for a staggering 59.30%. Pakistan followed with 12.26%, Ethiopia 8.85%, Japan 6.92%, Thailand 4.52% and other regions only 8.14%, making South Asia the most core export market for DAP.

4. STPP: Relatively Dispersed Layout, Combining Emerging and Traditional Markets

The export destinations of Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) were relatively dispersed but with key focuses. Other regions in total accounted for 58.39%, and India, as the main single market, made up 17.88%. Indonesia, the Philippines, Mozambique and Peru accounted for 8.48%, 5.19%, 5.04% and 5.02% respectively, with emerging and traditional markets jointly forming its export pattern.

V. Market Summary and Development Orientation: Dual Focus on Categories and Regions, Continuous Industrial Structure Optimization

Overall, China's phosphate chemical export market in November 2025 featured core categories leading the growth, distinctive categories seeing a sharp surge, and highly concentrated export regions. The export layout of the phosphate chemical industry was highly aligned with the demand of overseas markets, and the improvement of domestic industrial policies and logistics efficiency also provided strong support for export growth. The zero-export status of phosphate ore and yellow phosphorus also reflected China's orientation of phosphate resource protection and industrial structure adjustment from another perspective. It is expected that China's phosphate chemical exports will continue to deepen development around high value-added categories and core overseas markets in the future.
