Domestic TiO2 market remained firm at high levels. Sulphuric acid prices stayed near record highs and titanium concentrate showed a rebound, intensifying cost pressure. Spot supply was tight, inventories were low, and producers were holding prices firm by blending high-priced and low-priced orders. Domestic demand was moderate but rigid procurement remained stable, while export orders stayed active. Overall, costs and supply supported prices, and the market was expected to stay high in the short term.
The domestic titanium slag market was relatively stable in April. High-titanium slag plants actively fulfilled monthly orders with steady quotations. However, acid-soluble slag continued to weaken due to sluggish demand, with prices softening.
The ilmenite market in the Panxi region ran weak and stable. Miners actively supported prices amid relatively stable medium-grade titanium ore prices, but downstream procurement remained weak and buyers pushed for price cuts. As a result, spot market prices struggled to stay firm, with some lower-priced transactions emerging.
