Market analysis: In March, insecticide market prices were generally stable, though some products saw price hikes. Chlorpyrifos TC and cypermethrin TC prices rose significantly, while abamectin TC and emamectin benzoate TC prices continued their slight upward trend, and other insecticides remained largely stable.

Trade analysis: In terms of trade, from January to February 2025, China's export volume of insecticide formulations reached 72,291.12 t, a YoY increase of 26.99%.

Enterprise dynamics: The environmental protection acceptance monitoring report for Qingdao Hengning's 40,000 t/a agricultural chemical active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates project was publicised; the environmental impact report for Inner Mongolia Laike's 2,000 t/a chlorfenapyr TC (expansion construction) and 500 t/a chlorfenapyr SC (new construction) project was accepted; the environmental impact report for the technical renovation project of abamectin-aminomethyl and other TC products by Hebei Veyong Bio-chemical Co., Ltd. (Hebei Veyong) was announced to be approved.

Policy: Starting from March 1st, the Jiangsu Province Solid Waste Pollution Environmental Protection Regulations officially came into effect, which made clear provisions for the management of pesticide packaging waste; Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the Key Points of Hubei Province's Agricultural and Rural Work in 2025, aiming to promote a 4.5% growth target for the gross industrial production of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery in the province.

Pests: Jilin Province released its 2025 underground pest forecast, predicting relatively light underground pest activity covering about 80,000 hectares. Shandong Province issued its 2025 H1 crop disease and pest forecast, expecting severe wheat diseases and pests, moderate corn and cotton diseases and pests, and moderate peanut aphid activity.
