In June, glyphosate ex-works price in China continued to warm up, with stable supply, increased demand, and reduced costs, all contributing to the price increase.
Company dynamic: In June, the average operating rate of glycine producers in China was about 51%, with a production volume of around 30,000 tonnes. As the market for glyphosate gradually warms up, the operating rate of glycine is expected to be positively affected; In H1 2025, the production capacity of ongoing projects related to glyphosate reached a total of 838,800 t/a. This includes 668,000 t/a of intermediates/raw materials and 170,800 t/a of formulated products.
Policy: on 25 June, the government of Shandong Province has given its approval for the adjustment of the administrative area of Yuncheng Chemical Industrial Park. After the adjustment, the area of the park will be 5.25 square kilometers (525hectares), with clearly defined boundaries; As of 7 June, the Yunnan Province Department of Industry and Information Technology has completed the collection of opinions on the Yunnan Province Chemical Industry Park Construction Standards and Recognition Management Implementation Rules (Trial, 2025 Edition) (Draft for Comments).
