In July 2026, prices of key fungicide raw materials moved in different directions, with the average up 2.17% MoM. Renewed geopolitical tensions lifted crude oil prices, providing cost support. Some products gained on maintenance, supply cuts or demand recovery, while caustic soda and liquid ammonia softened under oversupply, creating a divergent pattern.
The fungicide TC market remained weak, with clear off‑season characteristics. Sluggish end‑user demand kept most products under pressure; only thiram edged up on cost support. The market saw more declines than gains, with weak consolidation.
Company dynamics
- On 2 July, 2026, CAC Nantong completed its azoxystrobin and trifloxystrobin TC projects, expanding fungicide capacity and broadening its portfolio.
- On 3 July, Flagchem announced a private placement to fund seven projects, including three SDHI fungicides (boscalid, fluxapyroxad and bixafen) and herbicides such as saflufenacil, pinoxaden and thiencarbazone‑methyl, plus an R&D centre upgrade and novel pesticide registration.
- From 14–15 July, four listed agrochemical firms with fungicide businesses—Lianhetech, Jiangsu Huifeng, Jiangsu Lanfeng and ADAMA—released H1 2026 forecasts, revealing sharp divergence in performance.
Policy
On 6 July, 2026, ICAMA issued a circular to clarify pesticide trademark reporting, withdrawal, and modification rules. The notice targets provincial inspectors and seeks to unify the filing process for all registered pesticide firms.
Registration
On 30 June, 2026, ICAMA announced the sixth batch of proposed pesticide registrations, which includes 131 fungicide products. Most of these products are formulated as SC, with key active ingredients including fludioxonil, fluopyram, pyraclostrobin, and tebuconazole.
Disease
On 25 June, 2026, the Guizhou Plant Protection and Quarantine Station issued an advisory noting sporadic local occurrence of rice bacterial leaf streak. Heavy rain and strong winds favour pathogen spread. Four control measures and five classes of rotational pesticides were recommended.
On 9 July, 2026, Guangxi's plant protection station issued a notice that flooding from Typhoon Maysak had worsened fungal and bacterial diseases across grain, vegetables, fruit trees, sugarcane, and mulberry.
Trade
According to data from China Customs, China's export volume of fungicide formulations reached 27,273.28 tonnes in June 2026, down 4.02% YoY. Export value reached USD131.41 million, down 0.72% YoY, while the average export unit price rose 3.43%.
