Welcome to the January issue of Amino Acids China E-News.
Several projects were completed or are to be completed:
- Ningbo Haide completed environmental protection (EP) acceptance inspection on "integrated project for amino acid production lines", which delivers 3,500 t/a of capacities for amino acid products.
- EP facilities in Shouguang Golden Corn's lysine production line project were built.
- Changchun Dahe's production capacity for new product L-Valine was successfully put into operation.
- Construction of Lanzhou Jinli's 12,000 t/a sodium sarcosinate project is reaching its end.
News about several proposed projects was updated:
- Ningxia Livzon's "technical renovation project for using L-Phenylalanine production line to produce L-Tryptophan and L-Isoleucine";
- Zhenyuan Biotech's 2,400 t/a histidine (histidine hydrochloride) and 1,000 t/a tyrosine project;
- Heilongjiang Nuopu's capacity expansion and technical renovation project;
- Heilongjiang NHU's 4,000 t/a L-Cystine API project.
Governmental Direction:
- China's MIIT approved industry standards for L-Theanine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Proline and N-Acetylneuraminic acid.
- China's MARA approved to add Iron Amino Acid Complex, Copper Amino Acid Complex and Manganese Amino Acid Complex into the Catalogue of Feed Additives.
Price: On a month-on-month basis, solid methionine price in Jan. ticked up slightly, and liquid MHA-FA price in Jan. dipped a little. Two products remained stable in price.
Import and Export: In Nov. 2023, China's import volume of methionine slipped 68.58% MoM and sank 73.99% YoY; China's export volume of lysine ester and salt grew 1.79% MoM and climbed up 51.82% YoY.
