The market of fungicides in 2014 represents a highlight of the pesticide industry. The output, the import volume and the export volume of fungicide products in the first three quarters of 2014 increased substantially. It shows that the market of fungicides has a promising developing prospect.
First of all, the domestic demand for fungicides is increasing, and a remarkable increase witnesses both in fungicide production and selling, especially for the rice fungicides. It is noteworthy that the domestic consumption and the vendibility of triazole fungicides are increasing remarkably. This is because the application proportion of grain crops is rising, and the prevention and control area for economic crops is further expanding too.
Secondly, there are masses of new fungicide products coming out in the market. All of them are popular in the market. In recent years, fungicide products are constantly updated, and the products after launch are being replaced with the newer ones.
Thirdly, the domestic fungicide varieties are in overcapacity while the foreign ones continue with a growth in market share. Chinese fungicide market, the insecticide market and the herbicide market have many characteristics in common, that is, they are undergoing overcapacity and keen competition; they have large stocks and an annually increasing output; the market of the domestic pesticide varieties remains depressed because foreign varieties with registered patents have grabbed almost all the business opportunities in advance.
