In Oct. 2014, China's fungicide market maintains smooth operation in general while prices of some fungicide products slightly increase. Generally speaking, China's fungicide market is expected to stay stable in a short term.
Tebuconazole:
Because the suitable wheat seeding time has passed and most orders received by tebuconazole manufacturers in later stages are for off-season reserve, prices of some settled orders which were signed in the middle of Oct. 2014 decreased, but not much. Because demand for tebuconazole is expected to be mainly driven by off-season reserve orders, price of tebuconazole will continue to hover low in the near future.
Difenoconazole:
In the middle of Oct. 2014, domestic price of difenoconazole technical increased slightly. Affected by the increasing price of raw materials, technical enterprises have to raise prices. Although prices of raw materials kept going up and the sales volume was ideal too, manufacturers did not take the lead in raising prices before. At the beginning of Oct. 2014, it became more and more difficult to maintain normal supply of raw materials. Under great pressure from the market, difenoconazole technical manufacturers had no choice but to raise prices. Price of difenoconazole technical is likely to further increase for it is getting tougher to maintain smooth supply.
Azoxystrobin:
Domestic price of azoxystrobin technical was stable in the middle of Oct. 2014. Some industry insiders revealed that the recent number of inquiries for azoxystrobin increases slightly, but the actual demand is still not promising. Some azoxystrobin manufacturers indicated that they hold optimistic expectation to the azoxystrobin market and have begun to proactively produce azoxystrobin to meet the demand. However, some analysts indicated that price of azoxystrobin is likely to fluctuate in the near future because of the saturated azoxystrobin supply.
