In general, most markets of fungicide products in China maintain a balance between supply and demand and the prices of fungicide products remain relatively stable in Sept. 2014. However, there are some products undergoing supply shortage and increasing price because of the pressure from environmental protection. In China, fungicide product is one of the pesticide varieties that have exceptional growth potential. China’s demand for fungicides is increasing with crop planting areas in China growing year by year. What's more, China's fungicide output increases sharply. As indicated in the statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, in Aug. 2014, output of China's fungicide technical increased by 25.0% year on year and the accumulative output from Jan. to Aug. 2014 increased by 16.5% year on year. Both of them are much higher than the growth rate of output of China's chemical pesticide technical from a year earlier. It is noteworthy that foreign enterprises are optimistic about China's fungicide market. From Jan. 2014 to Sept. 2014, quite a few international pesticide giants have launched their new fungicide products in China.
It is predicted that demand for fungicides will be growing as pests and diseases sweep across China. The National Agro-Tech Extension and Service Centre (the NATESC) forecasts that in H2 2014 pests and diseases of China’s crops would strike severely in general. Its stricken area would reach 153.07 million ha, increasing by 4.6% than that in the same period of last year. In particular, rice blast may break out in some areas, rice sheath blight may strike heavily in most parts of the rice cultivation areas in southern China, corn leaf blight would strike severely, potato late blight would strike seriously in parts of the Northwest China and North China and cotton verticillium wilt as well as boll rot would strike moderately.
