On 7 June, 2012, the 18th Conference of the 5th Council of China Crop Protection Industry Association was successfully held in Nanchang City of Jiangxi Province, participated by nearly 200 experts from pesticide R&D, production and management departments. And a large number of domestic enterprises appealed for policy support for pesticide formulation export at the meeting.
Besides, China will continue rigorously administering pesticide use to ensure the safety of drinking water at the 11th Session of the 27th Meeting of the NPC (National People's Congress) Standing Committee held in Beijing on 29 June, 2012, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China (MOA).
Meanwhile, in the first five months of 2012, Chinese import volume of pesticides has reached 33,495 tonnes, up 19.5% year on year, while the average import price of pesticides has decreased by 5.3% year on year to about USD8,649/t, according to China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA).
As to domestic carbendazim industry, it experienced flouring production and sales in the first five months of 2012. Specifically, the total output and sales volume of carbendazim technical of three key domestic companies reached about 20,000 tonnes and 18,000 tonnes respectively (calculated by 100% AI) from Jan. to May this year.
