Yet, the situation of China’s dependence on methionine import will be lightening after Chongqing Unisplendour Chemical Co., Ltd. launches a new methionine project. Moreover, the price of threonine is increasing caused by the limited supply in China. As for lysine, its export price increases month on month. However, domestic lysine enterprises face a lot of challenges in the overseas market such as the case about Global Bio-chem wining the patent lawsuit against Ajinomoto recently.
According to Semi-report of amino acid enterprises in August or September, the amino acid sales of Meihua Holdings Group Co., Ltd. increases with a decrease in gross profit rate. Real Nutriceutical Group Limited, a manufacturer of amino acid-based nutritional supplements, has an outstanding performance, and its average gross profit rate reaches 71.2%. As a result, it suggests that the application trend of amino acid might focus more on the pharmaceutical industry in the future.
Feed industry is the important downstream industry to amino acid industry. Firstly, feed industry is restructuring through increasing the market concentration. Secondly, Chinese feed enterprise is targeting the overseas market for long term development after the domestic market demand is weakening. Furthermore, the state consolidation on breeding industry is strengthening; thereby the recovery of breeding industry stimulates the feed's production. Overall, the increase in feed industry’s concentration will enhance the sales of amino acid industry.
