Company dynamics

• NHU adds 70,000 t/a solid methionine capacity.
• Shengshi Bio plans 1,900 t/a amino acid capacity.
• Xinjiang Meihua's 18,000 t/a isoleucine project passed acceptance check.

Project progress

• The EI report for Huachang Biology's amino acid project was proposed to approved.
• The EI report for Tongliao Meihua's No. 8 threonine extraction workshop technical renovation was accepted.
• The EI report for Nuopu Biotechnology's co-line production of isoleucine and tryptophan project was accepted.

Governmental direction

• On 2 Dec., 2025, SAC published the revised national standard Quality Requirements for Sodium Glutamate (Monosodium Glutamate).
• On 20 Nov., 2025, CBFIA released the draft industry standard "Amino Acids, Their Salts and Analogues - Part 17: L-Lysine and Its Acetates".

Price

In Dec., 2025, the price of methionine experienced a renewed decline, with solid methionine down by 10.45% and MHA-FA falling by 5.14% MoM.

Import and export

In Nov. 2025, lysine ester and salt export volume up by 5.85% MoM, with import volume down by 97.15% MoM.
