Company dynamics

In March 2025, Warrant Pharmaceutical announced that the National Medical Products Administration agreed to the company's withdrawal of the registration application for acetylcysteine injection. In additon, several amino acids companies released their performance for the year 2024, among which Adisseo's revenue and net profit both increased YoY while Meihua Group's revenue and net profit both decreased YoY.

Governmental Direction

In early March 2025, the draft for approval of the group standard "L-Histidine and its hydrochloride salt for food for special medical purpose (FSMP) ingredients" was publicized; the industry standard (draft for comments) for "Instant branched-chain amino acids" was released.

Price

In March 2025, the threonine industry maintained stable operations, and the average market price of threonine showed an upward trend.

Import and Export

In Jan.–Feb. 2025, China's import volume of lysine ester and salt increased by 102.56% YoY, with the import value rising by 130.78% YoY; domestic export volume of lysine ester and salt slipped by 3.46% YoY, with the export value edging up by 5.66% YoY.
