Project developments

• Yingkou Yingxin's 4,000 t/a Creatine Monohydrate Project EIA firstly publiced
• Xiangrui Pharmaceutical plans to build 300,000 t/a monosodium glutamate project
• Heilongjiang NHU's 4,000 t/a L-Cystine project completed and the first public announcement of information on another amino acids project
• Chuzhou Huarui intends to add 6,000 t/a of β-Alanine and 1,000 t/a of N-methyl-β-alanine through technical renovation
• Nanzhong changhai plans to build 6,000 t/a L-Alanine project

Governmental Direction

• MARA approved the import registration of 4 kinds of amino acids related feed and feed additives;
• Public release of the exposure draft of the industry standard Monosodium glutamate solution (liquid gourmet powder MSG) and Amino acids, amino acid salts and their analogues Part 13: L-Ornithine hydrochloride

Price: Lysine price rose in July due to tight supply, as several producers entered into maintenance period.

Import and Export: In June, the import volume of methionine increased by 11.27% YOY and 7.61% sequentially. In the first half of 2024, the import price of China's methionine imports continued to rise.
