Production Situation of Urea in China

Urea is the most important nitrogen fertilizer worldwide. China's urea output accounts for about one third of the world's total output. Urea's production has a continuous increase in recent years, and the capacity of urea in 2004 was 42,000,000 t/a, increasing to 71,000,000 t/a in 2011. While the output is 41,815,000 tonnes and 57,755,000 tonnes in 2004 and 2011 separately. In recent years, China has increased the support on agriculture, rural areas and farmers, which stimulates farmers to increase investment on farmland. The active demand and supply stimulate domestic chemical fertilizer enterprises to expand capacity. The price of urea will have a continuous increase. First, according to China's 12th Five-Year Plan, China will continue to support agriculture development, which will promote the demand of urea(a major fertilizer used in agriculture). And the price will increase continually with the rising demand from the downstream industry of urea.
