Welcome to the December issue of Sweeteners China News published by CCM, a professional consulting company which has been extensively and intently focusing on dynamics of China's sweetener industry.

During Jan. – Nov. 2012, the Chinese government has released a series of regulations on sweeteners, driven by which, domestic sweetener industry is expected to enjoy more opportunities in 2013 and it is also believed that more and more standards about sweeteners will be promulgated in the near future.

Besides, investments from foreign food processors also provide opportunities for domestic sweetener industry. For example, company dynamics of Wrigley and PepsiCo in China are expected to improve domestic sales volume of some sweeteners.

What’s more, an important exhibition in Chinese sweetener industry--Food Ingredients China-Autumn 2012, was held in Nov. 2012, Many Chinese sweetener manufacturers, especially leading enterprises, attended this exhibition. For example, Baolingbao attended the exhibition with its latest research about four end-products with health care function, attracting a great deal of attention. Meanwhile, Mr. Hu, Secretary-General of Sweeteners Committee of China, made a speech about current situation and development trend of stevia sweetener in China during the exhibition, indicating that the key research direction of domestic stevia sweetener industry would be beverage and tabletop sweetener in the future.
