Policy
On 10 October, MARA issued the newly revised detailed rules for the review of pesticide production licences.
On 30 September, Peru announced the suspension of the sale, distribution and use of five pesticide active ingredients, including chlorpyrifos, on domestic food crops.
As for pest and disease forecasts, On 28 September, NATESC warned that severe rice planthopper outbreaks in late rice would continue across the Yangtze River middle and lower reaches, Jiangnan and South China in early to mid-October 2026, with most areas facing moderately severe to severe outbreaks. On 30 September, Guangxi published an update on the occurrence of late rice pests and diseases in the later growth stage.
Regarding trade analysis, from January to September 2026, China's exports of insecticide formulations increased 20.41% YoY and the export value rose 3.42% YoY, while the average export price fell 14.11% YoY.
