Since November, the ex-works price of glyphosate has seen a decline, primarily due to the relatively loose supply side and market expectations for increased production capacity, which to some extent has weakened market confidence. On the demand side, the domestic market is in the traditional off-season, and overseas demand has not shown a significant increase, making the overall demand support for prices quite limited.
In terms of project dynamics, there is a noticeable expansion in glyphosate production capacity: on one hand, Hebang Biotechnology has increased the annual capacity of its Indonesian project from 200,000 t/a to 350,000 t/a; on the other hand, the first phase of the Guizhou Jiangshan project is about to start trial production, which includes 50,000 t/a glyphosate capacity.
In terms of corporate dynamics, Xingfa Group and its subsidiaries have recently made several advancements in glyphosate-related technologies. Xingfa Group has been granted a patent for "Production System for Manufacturing Sodium Tripolyphosphate Using Sodium Pyrophosphate By-Product from Glyphosate Production," and its subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Xingfa, has also obtained a patent for "A method for enriching phosphorus compounds in glyphosate acidic mother liquor." These technological achievements are expected to further enhance the resource utilization efficiency and process level of glyphosate production. In addition, Fuhua Tongda has successfully been selected for the fifth batch of Sichuan Province intellectual property strong enterprise cultivation list, reflecting its strength in intellectual property construction.
In terms of pesticide policy management, the Department of Crop Production, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, recently released the "Regulations on the Registration of Pesticides for Export Only (Draft for Comments)," proposing to establish a separate and clear management system for pesticide products exclusively for export. Over the same span, the department also issued an official interpretation of the content of Announcement No. 925, further clarifying the details of policy implementation.
Export trade data shows that in August 2025, China's glyphosate export volume reached 37,021.85 tons. Brazil continues to maintain its position as the largest export destination for our country's glyphosate.
