China's pesticide industry witnesses an increasing performance in 2013 as expected. Such is the case with Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical Co., Ltd., which is the first one to release annual report of 2013 among the listed pesticide enterprises in China. The company has seen a year-on-year growth of over 20% of revenue and net profit in 2013 and a more remarkable performance was predicted in 2014.

In hope of progress, other listed pesticide enterprises such as Zhejiang Shenghua Biok Biology Co.,Ltd. and Zhejiang Qianjiang Biochemical Co., Ltd. optimized their business positively in the year by transferred subsidiary’s share. Besides, technology innovation is another essential way of further development of pesticide industry in China. R&D of new formulation types is one of the Innovation trends. In Feb. 2014, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences initiated a research project to develop a new nano pesticide formulation. Additionally, in these years, numbers of domestic enterprises turn to water-based products, which are supposed to have promising market prospects. The formulations, including EW, SC, SE and other water-based formulations tend to attract attentions in the coming years.

Meanwhile, some insect pests' resistance to traditional pesticides like brown rice planthopper resistant to tobuprofezin, which is keeping increase presently and stimulating demand of pesticide technology innovation. Thus, domestic pesticide enterprises are supposed to increase R&D investment for guarantee of continuous development.
