China has entered the peak season for the control of rice pests and diseases. News from National Agro-Tech Extension Service Center said that the damage of pests on early rice this year will be more serious over last year, which is expected to boost the demand for pesticides in domestic market.
At present, both domestic and overseas companies are preparing for the sales season. DuPont continues to release its chlorantraniliprole formulations in China. The production licenses of 0.40% chlorantraniliprole GR got approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 24 April. This formulation will be produced and marketed by Jiangmen Daguangming Agricultural Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Sinon Chemical (China) Co., Ltd.
As a major production country of pesticides in the world, China has an ample supply of pesticides to control pests and diseases. However, farmers still have to face an increasing pesticide price if they choose high-end products from overseas companies. It is reported that overseas companies will continue to increase the price of their products.
