To effectively solve the current problems of pesticides applied on vegetables, on 17 May 2012, ICAMA released a notice on organizing joint pilot tests for vegetable pesticide registration in 11 major provinces or cities of China in 2012.

Furthermore, the output of fungicides, the third largest pesticide category, witnessed a slip of 16.2% year on year to 31,000 tonnes in China in the first quarter of 2012. By fungicide output, the top six regions include Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Sichuan and Shandong respectively.
However, mancozeb technical, one of the popular conventional fungicides in China, experienced flourishing production and sales among leading domestic producers in the first quarter of 2012. Specifically, the total output and sales volume of this fungicide reached about 4,469 tonnes and 4,612 tonnes (calculated by 100% AI) respectively at the same time.
