Till the end of Aug. 2012, all listed pesticide enterprises have gradually released their semi-annual financial reports of 2012. After analyzing these 21 pieces of financial report, CCM International found out that the total revenue and net profit of these companies in H1 2012 have witnessed a large growth over H1 2011, up 24.48% and 87.63% over H1 2011, reaching USD3.38 million and USD158.04 million. Although it seems to be a piece of very good news for domestic pesticide industry implying a gradual recovery, an obvious gap also shows between the data in Syngenta and other multinational pesticide enterprises as well.
According to the Q1 and Q2 financial reports of Syngenta in 2012, the H1 revenue of the company’s crop protection department summed up to USD5.67 billion, 71.3% larger than the total revenue of all listed pesticide enterprises in China.
