China Fluoride Materials Monthly Report

In June 2014, China's fluorochemical market stayed relatively stable as a whole. As an active player in H1 2014, the fluorine-enriched refrigerants also tended to be stable due to the end of the traditional peak period. Of this, both R22 and R132 witnessed slight increases in their ex-works prices in the month, up by 3.42% and 2.71% over May 2014 respectively. Meanwhile, the ex-works prices of PTFE products kept the rises. For instance, the ex-works price of PTFE dispersion resin and PTFE medium size particle resin rose by 2.40% and 2.01% respectively compared with that in May 2014.

In this issue, CCM specially summarized the development of the whole fluorochemical industry and had deep analysis on its future development. Meanwhile, CCM communicated with some experts and pointed out that China's fluorochemical industry must target the high-end and newly-developing application fields. Also, suggestions were given to the investors with three products mentioned including the fluorine-enriched refrigerants, fluorine-enriched chemicals and fluoropolymers. 

In addition, CCM found out that two domestic leading enterprises mainly involved in fluorochemical business would have their IPO and go listed. One is Tianhe Chemicals, which has gone listed at Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June 2014. As it held a positive attitude towards special fluorochemical industry, Tianhe Chemicals stated that it would invest most of the raised funds into the main businesses covering a series of fluorine-enriched lubricant additives and special fluorides. The other is Kings with the richest fluorite resources in China. The enterprise was included in the companies applying for listing, unveiled by China Securities Regulatory Commission. It planned to go listed at Shanghai Stock Exchange.
