Welcome to the June issue of Dairy Products China News
In June 2026, the global economy is trapped in a predicament of "low growth and high volatility". Commodities have entered a risk pricing phase, with the Brent crude oil center expected to shift downward, though geopolitical conflicts may trigger pulse-style rebounds. Milk production trends in major dairy exporting countries are diverging: the US, Argentina, and Australia are expected to grow by 1.2%, 4.0%, and 1.8% respectively, the EU is declining for the second consecutive year by 0.5%, and New Zealand is slightly decreasing by 0.5%.
China's economy continues its "strong externally, weak internally; strong supply, weak demand" differentiated pattern—May exports increase surged to 19.4%, but fixed assets investment fell to -4.1%, and consumption increase dropped to -0.6%. Fiscal policy adheres to the tone of "making good and full use of existing policies", the central bank maintains moderately loose policy, with possible interest rate cuts of 10–20 basis points in H2.
Against this backdrop, Feihe Dairy's high-purity α-lactalbumin production line commenced operations, and Mengniu launched its dairy raw material brand MnmpX. Driven by rising whey prices, China's dairy industry is accelerating its transition from import dependence to self-sufficiency through technological breakthroughs and branding initiatives.
