Welcome to the January issue of Dairy Products China News.
In Jan., 2025, China's dairy industry was at a critical stage of transformation and adjustment, facing challenges such as supply-demand imbalance and cost pressures. Despite these issues, the industry enjoyed a broad market outlook, driven by consumption upgrades, policy support, and sustainability initiatives.
In 2024, many dairy companies saw reduced profits or even losses. For example, companies like Tianrun Dairy, Maiquer Group, and Sanyuan Foods all predicted annual losses. In response, some firms accelerated digital transformation, using big data and AI to boost production efficiency and optimize supply chain management. Meanwhile, the industry actively embraced green development by improving farm management, reducing carbon emissions, and adopting eco-friendly packaging.
Looking ahead, the industry is expected to see a stabilization of milk prices in the second half of 2025, as further capacity reduction aligns with peak demand seasons. To meet consumers' diverse needs and ensure long-term growth, companies must continue to enhance product quality and innovation.
