Gum rosin China Industry Research Report

Exceeding USA, China has become the largest gum rosin manufacturer worldwide with output of 327 kMTs in 1980. Since then, China’s gum rosin output has increased to 350~600 kMTs/year. In 1998~2001, global output of gum rosin was about 1,100 kMTs/year, and China’s gum rosin annual output was about 400 kMTs/year on average, acounting for about 1/3 of total global production. China’s gum rosin industry has been developing more rapidly than before in recent years. China’s gum rosin capacity has rocketed to 781,700MTs/year by January 2006, with 80 active manufacturers of gum rosin.
