As an effective additive, BA (benzoic acid) has been being widely applied in lots of fields in China for many years. In current time, most of the BA is consumed in food and beverage industry in the form of NaB (Na Benzoate), while the rest is used to produce other industrial products, such as BA alkyd resins, BA plasticizers, benzoyl chloride, etc. Those products are widely adopted in many industry fields respectively, including coating industry, plastics industry, dyeing industry, agriculture, etc.
In recent years, food-safety problem is becoming more and more apparent in China with increasing attention to be paid to health.
