Nanda Group launches new feed mill

To be able to support the expansion of its integrated broiler business, Nanda Group, India's broiler integrator based in Bangalore will launch its new feed mill this month.

Located in Hiriyur, about 200 kilometres from Bangalore, the plant is the group's most modern feed mill built on a turnkey contract by Muyang, a leading manufacturer of milling equipment from China. It has a pelleting capacity of 10 tonnes/hour and two corn silos that have a 5,000 tonne-capacity each.

"The plant is in the middle of corn producing areas in Karnataka state. This allows us to procure high quality corn directly from the farmers at a fair price," Nanda Kumar told Asian Agribiz. Half of the plant's output will be for its own use while the rest will be sold to other poultry producers.
