Kien Giang to build feed plant in Mekong Delta, Vietnam
Kien Giang Animal Feed Production Co. Ltd has been given license to establish an animal feed processing plant in the Mekong Delta region with an investment of VND290 billion (US$13.87 million).
Construction of the plant, which will cover 2.8 hectares at Thuan Yen Industrial Zone in Kien Giang province, will be kicked off next March, the state-run Dau Tu newspaper reported.
Having a designed capacity of 150,000 tonnes of animal feed annually, it is slated to go operational in 2015, the newspaper said.
Vietnam's animal husbandry consumes around 29 million tonnes of animal feed every year, of which over 10 million tonnes are industrially produced.
