UK sees rise in compound feed production
The UK's compound feed output has increase sharply in the second half of 2012 due to shortage of quality forage which causes farmers to use more bought-in feed for ruminants.
New figures released by the Department of the Environmment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) show that total production of compound feed reached 5.05 million tonnes in the July-December period - up 5% on the previous year.
