Compound feedproduction in the EU will likely drop by about 1% this year, according to the forecasts by the European Compound Feed Manufacturers' Federation (FEFAC).
FEFAC says that this is mainly due to the shrinking demand stemming from the challenging economic situation faced by many livestock producers.
Poultryfeed production in the EU region is expected to remain stable this year, while pigfeed production is estimated to be 0.5% lower than last year's levels.
