Mining company discovers huge supply of valuable minerals
A mining company said Tuesday (June 12) that the world's biggest and best quality supply of a valuable mineral has been discovered.
About 1.3 million tonnes of polyhalite, which is processed to make premium potashfertiliser, was found under the North York Moors National Park, York Potash said. The company, owned by Sirius Minerals, said the find was of 'global relevance' and could create 1,000 jobs.
