Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Toursim (Mincetur) will participate in the Third Senior Officials'' Meeting (SOM3) and Related Meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).
According to a ministerial resolution published today in El Peruano official gazette, the Peruvian delegation will travel to Beijing, capital city of China, from August 6th to 21st to attend the said events.
About 100 sessions will be held at this time, including the Senior Officials'' Meeting from August 20th to 21st, with meetings of APEC committees, sub-committees and working groups arranged ahead.
Meetings include those of Intellectual Property Rights Experts Group (IPEG), Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance (SCSC), Life Sciences Innovation Forum - Regulatory Harmonization Steering Committee (LSIF-RHSC) and Sub-Committee on Customs Procedures (SCCP).
Other events will be coordinated by APEC''s Customs Business Dialogue (ACBD), Virtual Working Group (VWG), Business Mobility Group (BMG), Group on Services (GOS), Market Access Group (MAG), Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI), Investment Experts Group (IEG), among others.
In this regard, Mincetur issued a resolution authorizing the trip to Beijing of APEC director Julio Chan, Luis Medina, Gloria Ramírez, Rocío Barreda; Karina Tejada, and Daniel Huertas to attend this year’s SOM3 meeting and related meetings.
SOM3 will be the last comprehensive senior officials'' meeting before APEC Economic Leaders'' Meeting in November this year.
Compared with previous ones, SOM3 is the longest one with the largest number of participants and the most intensive schedule.
