Workshop Background
CCM, a leading consulting company in China, and the Organizing Committee of the 19th Beijing Seed Congress, are going to jointly hold a seed workshop to discuss with industry experts about challenges and opportunities brought by Chinese government’s recent policies on seed industry on the afternoon of September 19th, 2011 in Beijing during the 19th Beijing Seed Congress.
Chinese government’s latest policies on seed industry, "Suggestions for Accelerating Development of Modern Crop Seed Industry"(“Suggestion”) released on April 18, 2011. For the first time, it has clearly shown that China is taking seed industry to be of strategic and fundamental importance to the nation. The release of the “Suggestion” will bring about more changes and reforms to China’s seed industry.
It is reported that Beijing will issue another two seed policies, namely “Development Plan of Modern Crop Seed Industry” and “Regulation to Production and Management License of Modern Crop Seed Industry”, to boost the development of seed industry. With strong governmental support, China’s seed industry will enter a new development stage.
What reforms and innovations will take place in China’s seed industry with the release of the “Suggestion”? What opportunities lie ahead for players in China’s seed industry, domestic ones and overseas ones? How to seize opportunities and cope with the challenges? Come and join CCM’s Seed Workshop.
