Minister Han Changfu met European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan on the sidelines of the G20 Agriculture Ministers Meeting in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, on June 2, 2016.
The two sides exchanged views on the China-EU Dialogue on Agriculture, mutual-recognition of agricultural geographical indication (GI), exchanges of young farmers, agricultural trade and others. Both sides agreed that China and the EU enjoy sound foundation and great potential for agricultural cooperation and pledged to jointly promote mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation in agriculture by making best use of the existing mechanisms and giving full expression to respective strengths.
