China’s southwest Yunnan province produced 23.48 million tonnes of coal in the first half of the year, down 18.7% from the year prior, showed data from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on July 24.Over January-June, commercial coal sales in Yunnan dipped 22.5% on year to 28.47 million tonnes, including 2.67 million tonnes sold out of the province, a drop of 47.1%, the NDRC data showed.Total rail transport at the same period was 930,000 tonnes, falling 43.2% year on year, data showed.By end-June, coal enterprises across the province held 1.27 million tonnes of coal in stockpile, down 4.3% year on year and up 28.3% on month.
