Cargill completes feed plant in central Vietnam

   
   

   

Cargill's animal nutrition business has recently completed its US$20-million animal feed mill expansion in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province, increasng the plant's capacity by four times, from 60,000 tonnes to 240,000 tonnes per year.

   

   

This new plant expansion means that Cargill now has a total compound feed capacity of 1.4 million tonnes in Vietnam. Cargill's fed mill is one of eight compound feed mills in Vietnam.

   

   

"The expansion of our Binh Dinh plant will allow us to serve our customers in Vietnam even more effectively, so we can deliver the right products, expertise and capabilities to them as quickly as possible and support faster business growth," said Jorge Becerra, managing director for Cargill Animal Nutrition's feed and nutrition business in Vietnam.

   

   

In 2012,the company committed to building more animal feed plants in the country, doubling its feed capacity to 1.5 million tonnes per year by 2015.
