The Third Meeting of CUCC Sub-Commission on Agriculture held in Beijing

The Third Meeting of Sub-Commission on Agriculture under China –Ukrainian Cooperative Commission (CUCC) was held in Beijing on Sep. 18, 2013. Vice Minister Chen Xiaohua and Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk presided over the meeting.

 

The two sides exchanged views on recent situation of agricultural development, spoke highly of productive bilateral cooperation since the Second Meeting of Sub-Commission on Agriculture, and discussed the cooperation priorities in the near future. The two sides reached multiple consensuses on the following six issues:

 

First, further expand agricultural trade volume with mutual efforts;

 

Second, promote the construction of China-Ukrainian agricultural cooperative parks;

 

Third, finalize the China-Ukrainian Program on Agricultural Cooperation and Investment as soon as possible;

 

Fourth, strengthen information exchange on veterinary cooperation;

 

Fifth, intensify cooperation on plant quarantine;

 

Sixth, carry out cooperation on agricultural science and technology, and sign the China-Ukraine MOU on cooperation in agricultural science and technology as soon as possible.

 

Furthermore, the two sides agreed to hold the Fourth Meeting of Sub-Commission on Agriculture under China-Ukrainian Cooperative Commission in 2014 in Ukraine.
