MOA Senior Advisor (Vice-Ministerlevel) Yang Shaopin met with Mrs. Jaroslava Beneš Špalková, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic in Prague on August 27, 2014. The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening agricultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

In order to boost future cooperation, Yang put forward the following three-point proposal: First, to build up an agriculturalexchangeand cooperation mechanism. The two sides would establish a bilateral working group on agriculture in the coming days, and have regular consultations to define cooperation priorities.

Third, to promote agricultural trade. The two sides might intensify their efforts in boosting bilateral agricultural trade through various forms like the Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum between China and Central-Eastern European Countries, international expos, trade promotion activities, and so on. Besides, both sides might support and encourage collaboration between agro-businesses, increase investment and facilitate trade between the two countries.
Mrs. Jaroslava Beneš Špalková fully agreed with Yang on the above proposal.
After the meeting, the leaders from both sides attended the Local Leaders'' Meeting of the Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum between China and Central-Eastern European Countries and the Trade & Economic and Agriculture Forum under the China Investment Forum.
