Dalian Petrochemical Companyto boost its processing capacity to 20.5 million metric tons this year

On 28 March, construction of the 6 Mt/a kerosene and diesel hydrogenation unit at PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical Company was put into mid-term delivery.

Technical reconstruction of the sour crude processing project at Dalian Petrochemical covers seven production units and matching plants. Of which, the 10 Mt/a atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit has been put into operation since March 2005. The rest includes a 6 Mt/a kerosene and diesel hydrogenation unit, a 3.6 Mt/a hydrocracking unit, a 3 Mt/a residue hydrogenation unit, a 2.2 Mt/a continuous reforming unit, a 270 kt/a sulfur recovery plant and a hydrogen plant with a production capacity of 200,000 standard cubic meters/hour. Completion of the six units and plants is expected to boost annual crude processing capacity of Dalian Petrochemical to 20.5 million metric tons, including 15.5 million metric tons of sulfur crude.
