On June 6, the rescue team of CNPC Chuanqing Drilling & Exploration Corporation was awarded the honorary title of "Workers Vanguard in Earthquake ReliefandHomeland Rebuilding" by All China Federation of Trade Unions.
By June 6, CNPC Chuanqing Drilling & Exploration Corporation has put 19 large-scale mechanical equipment and transport vehicles to use in quake rescue works, including opening an emergency evacuation path of 730 meters long and 15 meters wide among debris and perilous mountains, breaking up 57,000 square meters of dilapidated houses, handling thousands tons of construction wastes, extending 2,000 meters of temporary transport corridor, building two temporary military airports, and leveling 31,000 square meters of yards to settle down earthquake victims and put up tent schools. All these have been highly appreciated by the local government and people.
