From May 10 to 14, staged fracturing technology with sliding sleeves of external packer was successfully applied to horizontal well Xushen 9-1 in Qingshen gas field in Daqing for the first time.
Located in Block Xushen 9, well Xushen 9-1 features in tight rock formations and small gas flow channels, which led to unfavorable gas production by using conventional fracturing methods. Staged fracturing with sliding sleeves of external packer is an applicable way to reconstruct the reservoirs stage-by-stage. The fractured range in well Xushen 9-1 is three times larger than other gas wells of the same depth, and the instantaneous maximum gas production is up to 100,000 cubic meters, four or fives times of adjacent vertical wells.
