On May 10, the main work of the 650,000-cubic-meter reservoir in Maday Island for the Myanmar-China Crude Pipeline was completed 111 days ahead of schedule and well prepared for water storage.

The reservoir at Maday Island is an auxiliary project for the initial station and the 300,000-ton crude wharf of Myanmar-China Crude Pipeline. The reservoir will provide production and domestic water supply for the initial station, tank farm, submarine pipelines and underwater directional crossing projects. It will also serve as the main water source for pipeline operation and civil use in the Maday Island.
