Rosneft President Igor Sechin visits CNPC

On February 18, Rosneft President Igor Sechin, who is also the Executive Secretary of the Commission on Strategic Development of the Energy Sector, paid a visit to CNPC in Beijing and had a friendly meeting with CNPC President Zhou Jiping. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on promoting upstream and downstream integrated cooperation and expanding trade of crude oil.

It is agreed between the two sides that strengthening strategic cooperation is of great significance for the two countries' economic development, especially at a time of complex international situation and global economic downturn. Therefore, the execution of key oil and gas projects should be accelerated, which in turn will push the oil and gas cooperation between China and Russia forward to a new level.
