On October 28, CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping had an interview with Sauat Mynbayev, KazMunayGas Chairman of Management Board, in Beijing. They compared notes on promoting major oil and gas cooperation projects, including the establishment of a JV large-diameter steel pipe plant and a JV equipment manufacturing plant, as well as the upgrading of the Shymkent Refinery.
KazMunayGas is one of CNPC's most important strategic partners. Top management of the two sides have kept good communication and established highly mutual trust and profound friendship.
