According to report, Japanese rebar makers lift up their rebar prices for March due to higher costs on scrap.
Kyoei Steel, the largest rebar maker, said it added about ¥2,000/ton (US$22/ton) to normal size of rebar to the price of ¥62,000/ton. And Tokyo D-Bar Steel also announced it would hike its price by ¥5,000/ton (US$54/ton) to ¥65,000/ton.
Tokyo Steel Manufacturing also said it is going to surge its product prices by ¥3,000/ton to ¥60,000/ton.
