According to statistics, Italy's output of steel flat products reached 900,000 tons in last December, falling by 7% year on year.
Also, the December output hit the lowest level in the whole of 2012.
In the fourth quarter of 2012, the country's output of steel flats was at 3.23 million tons, decreasing by 6.9% year on year.
In 2012, Italy's production of steel flats hit 14.527 million tons, up by 0.7% year on year.
