It's reported that Korea's import prices of Japanese scraps increased by ¥1,000/ton this week.
This week, the Korean steelmakers started the price negotiation with the Japanese scrap suppliers. It's learned that the Korean steelmakers bid ¥34,500/ton for the Japanese scraps while the Japanese scrap suppliers offered the quotes of ¥36,000/ton.
It's said that Dongkuk Steel purchased 20,000 tons of H2 scraps and Hyundai Steel bought Shindachi scraps.
