According to statistics, Korea imported 811,000 tons of scraps in February, falling by 9.3% year on year while rising by 21.8% from a month ago.
Among them, 557,000 tons were from Japan, increasing by 26.5%; 124,000 tons were from the US, decreasing by 53.1% and 38,000 tons were from Russia, falling by 46.1%, all compare to those in the same period of a year ago.
In the first two months of this year, Korea's scrap imports amounted to 1.477 million tons, falling by 6.5% year on year. 930,000 tons were from Japan, increasing by 26.1% year on year.
